“Oh, we wheedled that out of him. Among other things.” Catalan’s next kiss lingered. “Felines inspire intimacies. And we’re very good at secrets.”
“There’s no secret here. Just curiosity and… coming-of-age explorations.” Jacques sighed. “I’m a one-off.”
“I like thickness in a man, but you’re too much, even for me.” Catalan drew back. “Sonnet wants us, yes? To make peace. To share trust.”
“Oui.”
“To be part of your circle of friends. Your pack.”
