Photo Challenge

Cameras Ready?! Take pictures for me! This time around, I’m inviting you to send me snapshots of ANY of the books (Saga & Songs). Jumble them together or feature them individually. Prop one up in your favorite reading spot. Snag a book-sniffing selfie. Showcase the latest title with the other books in your set … with props from the story … with your mug of tea … with your pets … with your plushies … with character doodles … with a Kimiko-worthy snack. Get creative. Be enthusiastic. Impress me. Be elegant or silly. Make me smile. Because there will be fabulous prizes.

YOU HAVE TWO MONTHS!
June 20 – August 20

  • Send me a link to your #bookstagram or blog post, pins or pic-spam.
  • Tweet your pics using @ForthWrites, and I’ll retweet.
  • Email me your snapshots or leave them here in comments.
  • *DO* notify me via email. Unlike Hisoka-sensei, 4thy isn’t quite omniscient.

always.forthright@gmail.com

If you’re taking part, I’m going to assume you’re okay with my re-posting your pictures here on the blog, on Twitter, on Goodreads, etc. And yes, if you can find creative ways to show off your digital edition, I’ll count those pictures, too.

Fabulous Prizes. Everyone who participates (and lets me know w/ a comment or email and link) will be entered into a drawing. Four people will be selected by ye olde randomizer. Multiple pictures are welcome (encouraged, even), but they’ll add up to one entry per reader in the prize drawing. I’ll reveal what those fabulous prizes are in a future reminder. ::eyebrow waggle::

ART: The Den

Quarterly Art Card. This is a friendly reminder about my Patreon account and its incentives. One perk of patronage is the quarterly art card. These are offered in limited quantities and for a limited time. To receive “The Den,” which you can get a peek at on this post, become a patron before the end of May (pledges are collected at the first of the month). For some tiers, art cards are automatically sent. At others, you must request them. Here’s a close crop of the art, which was created by Lara Pickle.

The full piece is quite cinematic and looks lovely on a 4 x 8″ card, which will mail out during the first week of June.

Quarterly Art Card

Incentive #001. One of the incentives I’m offering patrons (starting at the Twinkle tier) is a quarterly art card. The first will mail out in June. It’s a lovely depiction of the Cooper family that I commissioned earlier this year. (Guess what? Lara is working on art for all four of the Songs of the Amaranthine stories.)

RELEASE DAY – Songs #3

Songs of the Amaranthine is a collection of short stories set in Forthright’s Amaranthine universe. Before the Emergence, the clans were nothing more than whispers and mysteries and legends and lore. But every so often—in out-of-the-way places or shockingly close to home—an unsuspecting person stumbled into a fateful encounter with someone who was decidedly other. An eclectic collection, spanning continents and centuries. Tales of adventure, discovery, friendship, rescue, belonging, and love. Each short story stands alone and can be read in any order.

He had one job. Becoming a family pet wasn’t it.

Songs of the Amaranthine 03, Dragged through Hedgerows

Dragged through Hedgerows. For the sake of his people, Daroo-fen has lived among humans, working as a lawyer in a little mountain town. He’s vowed to protect the surrounding woodlands, no matter the cost. But in the course of duty, he meets a man who needs help … and a friend. Too long a loner, Daroo cannot keep away, but there’s a fine line between getting close and getting too close. If the Cooper family finds out his secret, two worlds might brand the wolf a traitor.

Now Available!

Countdown to Songs 3

One More Week. Dragged through Hedgerows should be showing up for pre-order in ALL the places now, so go secure your copy of the next short story in the Songs of the Amaranthine collection. It’s another stand-alone story, but like the others, it’ll contribute to your knowledge of the clans and their customs.

As you may have gathered from the summary, this one’s much more contemporary. Here’s a teaser!

Have you read the other Songs of the Amaranthine titles? Here’s a friendly reminder every author’s ranking depends in large part upon their readers’ reviews. Even a sentence or two would be greatly appreciated. ::bow::

This is your reminder that if you read via Kindle, the story is available for pre-order on Amazon. It’ll probably start showing up in other venues soon. (After I make these tweaks.)
