LMM 478: Only Natural

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one with perspective.

Jacques understood the trap of comparisons, but clearly the hedonism of the feline courts was helping Sonnet put his own urges into perspective.

“It’s only natural to want things.”

Sonnet’s sigh ruffled his hair.

“Some of us even need to be wanted.” Jacques remained squarely upfront. “Even if it’s only for one night.”

That earned a stammering protest.

“I know, love. I do. But I’m giving you permission to embrace wolf tradition and indulge your curiosity. Chase me, catch me, and I’ll do what I do best.”

Rather predictably, Sonnet asked, “Which is…?”

Jacques didn’t like to brag. “Exceed expectations.”

  2. Jacques exceed my expectations already so much.
I didn’t liked him when I started reading my first of your books about Tsumiko and Argent and when I realized you gave him so much attention by writing LMM I didn’t wanted to read it at all. But step by step he wormed his way into my heart. By now he is one of my favorites. Thank you for changing my mind!!!
