LMM 155: Argent, Tsumiko, Michael, Sansa

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the close-knit ones.

Argent, Tsumiko, Michael, Sansa

On the beach below, a picnic blanket and umbrella were arranged. Sansa and Isla paddled in the shallows, giving Annika and Mei a swimming lesson. How they’d pried Mei from Mori’s side was a mystery. Tsumiko sat close enough to the water that waves swished around her and a skittish Tawny. Poor kitten.

But the girls weren’t being left out. Nicely done.

“Those four,” said the dragon. “Their alliance will outlast any storm.”

“Allies? Non. That’s too impersonal.” Jacques eyed Michael and Argent, who’d traded babies. Proud papas, unabashedly doting. “They are this family’s heart and soul and breath and strength.”

  2. Ohhhh so nice…. I take it we’re supposed to match that last list up with the order of the title? Cause it most definitely works!!

    • I feel like you could also make a case for
      Strength = Sansa
      Breath = Argent
      Soul = Tsumiko
      Heart = Michael

      But I think the intention probably is probably to interpret it in the title order.
