LMM 134: Royal Reception

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the affectionate one.

Akira chattered at Suuzu, whose expression softened. Tsumiko laughed and kept correcting her brother’s pronunciation. Or something.

At a loss over the language as a whole, let alone nuances, Jacques could only look to Suuzu for help.

“He says you look like a prince,” said Suuzu. “Akira is calling you Oji—Prince—rather than uncle. A play on words. His intention is not mockery, but affection.”

“Prince Jackie, is it?” Jacques smiled crookedly. “Sorry to disappoint. I’m nobody important.”

“Not so. You are important to Akira.” Suuzu extended a clawed hand and softly inquired, “May I also call you uncle?”

  2. Ohhh, I didn’t need more reasons to love Akira and Suuzu… and here we go: I really hope (please, pretty please with a cherry on top) that Akira has “an egg or whatever else” to make him an everlasting human. He makes the world a better place for everybody ❤ He’s one of my favourite characters 💞

  3. There you are Jacques, you’ve been taken in without reservation. Next thing you know you’ll be nesting too. That was such a sweet update.
