Chapter 145: Strong
Sesshoumaru stayed out of the way while the humans packed. But the kit led over their children.
“Sesshoumaru-sama is strong,” Shippo announced. “But not bad.”
The children radiated a whole range of fear and fascination.
“He likes flowers,” Shippo continued, holding up a scruffy bouquet. “These can be your thank you.”
That’s when Sesshoumaru realized they were all clutching flowers. For him. And that they were drawing the miko’s interest.
Sesshoumaru sighed. He hadn’t wanted their deaths. He didn’t want their thanks. But their fear was misplaced. He could correct that.
Beckoning languidly, he said, “I am not your enemy.”
