Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the designated go-between.

In an Orderly Fashion
Somehow, Jacques had expected more trouble from a group that had raised Argent’s ire. While not the eldermost of all dragons, Beckonthrall’s sons were honored patriarchs—prismatic and prolific. If the stories were true, all thanks to their impish mothers.
Their abasement worried him.
“Where is Twineshaft?”
“Why is Mettlebright ignoring us?”
“Ignored? Hardly! I am proof that your concerns are important to the Amaranthine Council.” Jacques sat upon the floor and offered his palms. “Come now, my lords. I must beg introductions. Will you deal with me in alphabetical order or by age? Or my personal favorite—rainbow order?”
