Chapter 196: Tinted

In the gaining light, Kagome was drawn in by a new color flowing into Sesshoumaru’s stripes. Blues were all safe colors. But this blue was tinted with purple, a lovely periwinkle.

He pushed her into the narrow space between him and Shishi, then brought out his billow of silver fur, presumably to shelter her against the morning mists. A cozy hideaway. A close encounter.

Think blue thoughts. She closed her eyes and focused on the happy hues, as if by meditation alone, she could sway his mood.

His nose bumped her cheek. His words fanned her ear. “Are you daydreaming?”
