Chapter 195: Comforting
Sesshoumaru didn’t resist when they—essentially—put him to bed. Cradled between Shishi’s forelegs, he twisted his fingers into thick bronze fur that still carried the scent of Kagome’s shampoo. The lion-dog nuzzled him, making low sounds of sympathy. Comforting as he’d been comforted.
Dawn wasn’t far off, but Sesshoumaru wasn’t ready to face another day.
“Medicine?” Kagome lowered herself to her knees and proffered two tablets.
Her drooping posture bothered him, as did her pallor. “You need rest.”
“We all do,” she agreed.
“Hnn.” He tugged at Shishi and ordered, “Make room.”
Because it pleased him to be comforted.
