Chapter 193: Good

“I will consider it.”

Hours had passed since Sesshoumaru uttered those four words, and he was still considering them. And still, he had no answer.

Not long after midnight, Kagome came to sit at his side. “I’ll tell you a secret,” she offered.

Fingers brushed his arm, and Sesshoumaru trapped her hand under his. He searched her upturned face, waiting.

“Sometimes, it’s easier to smile after you’ve had a good cry.”

The first sounded as impossible as the last. He huffed.

But a scant hour later, he took true form. And once the first howl tore free, he couldn’t stop.

  2. oh yes. My heart is howling with him.
This is the only way he CAN show his grief.
to do anything in his human form would be messy and humiliating to one of his stature and current disability.
