Inuyasha stayed put. He’d always been half-scared of Sesshoumaru. Apparently, that was his human half. No coincidence that he was doubly aware of the threat his brother posed.
“Come here.”
“Keh. What for?”
Sesshoumaru, who answered to no one, answered. “Brotherly bonding.”
“Hell no. I promised Kagome we’d hold off.”
Eyebrows arched.
It occurred to Inuyasha that the bastard had once tackled him from a similar position. Sure, he’d survived, but he’d been a far sturdier hanyou then. Swearing softly, he admitted, “You scare me.”
“Likewise.”
Inuyasha doubted that. But then he considered it.
While he was distracted, Sesshoumaru struck.
