Chapter 131: Unalike

Sesshoumaru didn’t know how to answer. How could he be happy?

His brother asked, “What does she see in you?”

Flaws. Failure. The ravages of regret. Things Sesshoumaru refused to discuss. So he turned the question around. “What do you see in me?”

Inuyasha fidgeted. “Used to think we were rivals. Maybe?”

He shook his head.

“Mighta started thinking of you as… not an enemy.”

“We are not enemies,” Sesshoumaru acknowledged.

“Sure as hell don’t look like brothers right now.” Averting his gaze, Inuyasha scoffed, “Kagome and her brotherly bonding.”

Sesshoumaru considered the melancholic tone… and the future. “Come here.”
