Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who must have been tucked in.

In Need of Breakfast
Jacques woke alone in Deece’s bed, stomach growling. Pilfering a clean tunic, he crept to his own room, startled to find it still morning—barely. A quarter of an hour found him presentably coiffed and hastening toward the kitchen in hopes of a hearty elevenses.
Gingko slouched under his winter garden, a veritable couch potato, and greeted him with a smirk. “You reek of catnip.”
“Do I?” Jacques tugged uncertainly at his vest. “Is it offensive?”
His gaze lingered. “Not if they’re treating you good.”
Just then, Michael strolled through the door, arms full. “Ah, Jacques. This should please you!”
