Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the friendly one.

Generosity Itself
Jacques savored another mouthful, which mixed and mingled with his senses, mellowing his mood. He lifted the glass and blinked slowly. Was it… glowing? “I didn’t know you could bottle starlight.”
His companion chuckled. “It’s not made of stars. It’s made by stars.”
Important distinction. Heartening, even. Jacques sipped and swayed peacefully within the wine’s thrall. “Who were you, again?”
“Valor.”
“Seriously?”
“You would not be the first to find humor in our traditions.”
“Could be worse.” Another swallow. Lovely stuff, star wine. “Stodgy or Manky or Pudge.”
“More?”
Jacques nodded happily. “Very generous.”
Valor winked. “Generous is my aunt.”

LOL! Love that sense of humor. Ply him with wine. He’ll blink and find himself right in the middle of it all.
