Sesshoumaru had been pleased Kagome was so good at catching his mood. It made things easier. For him. This journal captured her struggle in plain print:

His feelings are right there, and they’re so honest. Of course they are, but… I admire the person he hides behind that mask of calm.

Near the end, a question snapped everything into vivid alignment.
