Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us especially the one who needs distracting.

Pâtissier
Jacques made sure Lapis was deeply asleep before relinquishing the dragon into the care of cats. Following his nose to the kitchen, he found his lord presiding over a pâtissier course. Isla, who had more poise than a girl of fourteen should possess, and a vaguely beleaguered Michael were his students.
“Tsk. Finally.”
Michael mildly remarked, “Argent’s always resorted to baking during birthings.”
“I intend to absent myself again. Can you leave?”
“Oui. Lapis is resigned to my absence,” Jacques indicated the cooling racks. Chocolate croissants. A favorite. “May I?”
Though he huffed, Argent waved Jacques to the table. “Breakfast?”

Now I’m torn. I LOVE 💗 Lapis and feel sad that he’s had to lose his favourite sleep partner, but there can never be enough Argent! Plus, chocolate croissants 🥐? Yum 😋

A birthing, a happily pampered dragon and Argent baking. What more could you want, except, of course chocolate croissants. 🥰 one of my personal favorites. Yum.
