Argent announced, “Today, you will be permitted to mingle with some of our students.”
Josheb leaned forward. “No kidding? But that’s huge! They’re just kids, right?”
“Most. Yes.”
“I almost never get to hang out with children of Amaranthine descent.”
Jacques was favorable impressed. Although Josheb blundered through his interactions with Amaranthine during old reruns of Dare Together, he’d gained some polish.
Respectful postures. Proper terms.
“Also, my bondmate would like to meet you.”
“You’ll introduce me to Lady Mettlebright? That’s… wow.”
“Later. Yes.” Argent beckoned for Jacques to get the door. “But first, my son. He is… a fan.”
