FanArt: Unspoiled

Let’s have something fandom-y today, shall we? I’ve always loved lila-me’s illustrations for Unspoiled. She illustrated every chapter (sometimes every scene within a chapter) and created several whimsical asides.

When Sesshoumaru came to collect her at the appointed hour, wide, golden eyes took in every detail of her appearance before the young lord announced, “You smell nice.”

Hisoka looked askance at Higurashi and wondered if the young woman realized just how high a compliment she’d been paid. When she blinked and blushed, he thought perhaps she did.

ART: Argent

I’ve never been one to go into great detail over physical descriptions of my characters. Simply not my style. Other traits—personality, preferences, impulses, interaction—are more interesting to me. Yet here I am, hammering out descriptions and chasing down refs for FoxOfTwilight. May these portraits encourage your imaginations in a more definitive direction! ::twinkle::   Continue reading

Review Challenge

Finding the Words. Let’s do another challenge that will help create buzz for Tsumiko and the Enslaved Fox. There’s already a Photo Challenge underway (ends 5/22), and I’m loving the entries that have already turned up. This time, let’s focus on reviews. They’re a practical necessity for any author and quite possibly the BEST way any reader can lend their support.

ART: Tsumiko Hajime

There’s been a small clamor for story art for Tsumiko and the Enslaved Fox, so I’ve been working behind the scenes with FoxOfTwilight to create a series of cast portraits. We’ll start with the main characters, and over the weeks ahead, we’ll add to the collection. Beginning with the title character—Tsumiko Hajime.

Books & Bookplates

Prepping Another Batch. I can hardly believe that nearly all the books I ordered from the printer (with my super-seekurt author powers) are already spoken for, but… they are. SO! If you’ve been considering purchasing a signed book from me, I have 3 copies 2 copies 1 copy still up for grabs. First come, first served you juuust missed this round, but you can hop onto a waiting list for the next batch. And you can of course still purchase personalized, numbered book plates for books ordered elsewhere. (Or for your scrapbook, as some have done!) ::twinkle::

Since they keep flying out of here, I do have more books on order. But I think (really, really hope) Amazon will fill outstanding orders before those arrive. (My poor, poor sales stats.) I will keep you posted.
