Jacques was curious about the imminent birth—or births—but he knew his place. Taking Argent by the elbow, he announced to the room at large, “Keep calm and carry on! We’ll make alternate arrangements for the evening meal.”
In the garden, facing the sea wind, Argent muttered, “Birthings….”
“I gathered. So! How about we go see Randolla?”
“Is this really the right time to be visiting one’s tailor?”
“You say that as if there’s a wrong time for visiting one’s tailor.”
Argent snorted.
Jacques quietly pointed out what would normally have been obvious. “The sedge has its own kitchen.”

Well, let’s see. We’re in the backdrop of the beginnings of Bk2 right now, and there’s quite a bit to cover during the events of Bk3. I’ve outlined a few other highlights that Cannot Be Missed, because Jackie is privy to a LOT. Which means … we might be near the halfway point for LMM?
Ideally, I’d like to bring this first Amaranthine Interlude into print *before* the final book in the Saga releases, so … 2023 might be a better estimate. Possibly?

OK, the previous chapter’s visual of Argent hiding behind Jaques was funny. But now…Is it because it reminds him of the awful circumstances of Ginko’s birth? Because if so…poor Argent, it must be triggering…
