LMM 276: Last to Know

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who does as she pleases.

Jacques had to jog to keep up with Argent and Michael. Hardly his forte, so he missed some of their exchange.

“…seclusion?” asked Argent, whose tails were puffed double.

“Ginkgo may have colluded,” said Michael. “Even Sansa wasn’t sure until this morning, when Minx sauntered in and… well. As you can see.”

Jacques needed a moment to sort out what was happening. Minx had laid claim to the kitchen table. She’d squeezed under it. To give birth.

Michael dropped to one knee beside Sansa, who was crooning in Russian to her Kith partner.

Argent huffed, wheeled… and hid behind Jacques.
