Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. Paltry poured from silver pots into china teacups, and Jacques basked in the familiarity. He and Sonnet lingered over Western-style cakes and pastries—Churlish’s specialty, according to Paltry—until Valor arrived with Ever in tow.

“Yes, love. You certainly do.” Sonnet’s tail swung high.
Jacques held out an arm to Valor and coyly asked, “Where’s my greeting?”

With a burgeoning sense of camaraderie, Jacques echoed Sonnet. “Yes, love. You certainly do.”
