Kagome’s knees buckled, but he held her in place.

Another long swipe. A thoughtful swirl.

She whispered a protest. “What are you doing?”

“Reassuring myself.”

With touch and taste? This was too much. She put her hand on his cheek.

He did stop. He also leaned into her palm, and his gaze was a challenge. “Few want my fangs near their vitals.”

Kagome tried for a laugh. “Will you believe that I trust you, now?”

“How far?” Blue deepened toward indigo.

“Erm…?”  

“How far will you trust me?” Sesshoumaru pressed.

“I would trust you with my life.”

“All of it?”
