Chapter 248: Interesting

She turned away while lowering her waistband. When she turned back, she hopped backward. Sesshoumaru had dropped to the ground. On his knees, he was at eye level with her navel.

He wore a veneer of patience, but his stripes were a wary sort of orange.

“You surprised me,” she mumbled. “That doesn’t count as distrustful.”

“Hnn.” A hand at her waist drew her closer. Gentle fingers smoothed over a roughly star-shaped scar.

When he nosed it, she whispered, “Looking is one thing, touching is ….”

“Touch and taste are interesting,” he reminded.

And dragged his tongue across her skin.
