Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon

Three Hanyou Princesses. If you missed the hype, there’s an InuYasha sequel, and simulcasts air every week. The main characters are three young ladies: Moroha (Inuyasha & Kagome’s daughter) and Sesshoumaru’s twin daughters Setsuna (who was raised by Kohaku and has no memory of her sister) and Towa (who was tossed forward in time and was raised by Souta Higurashi.

As a longtime fan of the series, I’m quietly enjoying the frequent allusions/homages. It’s the sort of thing I’d do in a next gen fanfic.

By the end of Ep2, I made up my mind where the plot would go if Yashahime was my story to tell. We’ll see if I’m close. And if not, welp … I already have a Canon Divergent tale in my back pocket. ::twinkle::

Bard & Barbarian

New Chapter. I’ve added this month’s installment to Bard & Barbarian. It’s an original story about two of the OCs I played during my first DnD campaigns. What can I say … I got attached. Their serialized adventure will undoubtedly be a stand-alone book one day, but if you want to be a part of their story while it’s unfolding, become a patron.

Last month’s installment concluded Part 1, so we’re embarking on Part 2 of this tale. Imber’s grown quite a bit, and he’s ready to broaden his horizons. If he can convince a certain adventuring party that he would be an asset. ::twinkle::

Imperceptible

Tuesday’s Tote. I’ve been adding a new fandom book cover to Goodreads & to the fanfic site each week. (Think … weekly cover reveals!) As an added bonus, the new pattern becomes available in my Threadless & TeePublic shopfronts. Totes, masks, and note cards are available. This week we’re adding an homage to Imperceptible.

Summary: A story told through a series of drabbles and oneshots, tracing the slow and steady progress of trust. Canon Universe. [Sesshoumaru & Kagome]

First Effort. Imperceptible was my FIRST foray into a story featuring Sesshoumaru and Kagome. At the time, I’d mostly goofed off with Mir/Kag, but a new Sess/Kag community (ebony_silks) opened up on Live Journal, and I wanted to participate in the weekly drabble contests. My only real goal was to keep things as canon as possible & in-character. Which naturally meant … exploring “my” Sesshoumaru’s personality. An intriguing prospect, considering how little he lets on. I’ve been tossing him into improbable situations ever since. ::twinkle::

News Hound

Updated! Iruka is sent undercover on a mission that bears every resemblance to an enforced vacation. It’s the world’s most boring assignment. And the loneliest. Until a chatty photojournalist named Sukea starts hanging around. Canon Divergence. [Iruka & Kakashi/Sukea/Hound]

This Naruto fanfic updates on Tuesdays. Chapter 7: “Hard Core” just posted.

ART: Two Halves

Kith Partner. I’m always so careful about spoilers, especially right after a new book releases. Not everyone has time to drop everything and read immediately. At the same time, maybe a bit of art will give folks a reason to read! ::twinkle:: This piece features partners Timur and Fend. One is the son of Michael and Sansa. The other is one of Minx’s cubs. (I’m pretty sure you can tell which is which.)

Timur whispered, “Between you and me, Fend is the brains of the operation.”

“You admit your Kith is smarter than you?” He was liking this reaver more by the minute.

“Part of why we’re such a good team.”

Sinder’s curiosity piqued. “How do you communicate?”

Timur tapped his nose. “Whatever do you mean? Kith are intelligent, loyal, and make good pets. Everyone knows that.”
