LMM 190: Urgent Care

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the formidable one.

Hand in hand, Jacques led the way past barriers that didn’t apply to him.

“Sensei asked for me?” Michael seemed surprised.

“Not specifically. Doesn’t matter. You’re the one he wants.”

“Isn’t he here to see you? That’s what Argent said. Well, implied.”

“I’ll watch over Hisoka if he wants, but I can’t do that thing. Tending.”

His step faltered. “How do you know he needs tending?”

“Flagging focus. Ominous pallor. Reprehensible posture.”

Michael took the remaining stairs two at a time, blowing past barriers that no longer applied to him.

Following at a more sensible pace, Jacques sighed. “You’re welcome.”

  2. Ah, Jacques! It amazes me how perceptive you are despite your silly, flirtatious front. Now give the nice kitty a hug! ☺️
