Chapter 201: Wet

His stripes vanished, so Kagome knew how much she’d surprised him. That helped a little, realizing that romance was the farthest thing from Sesshoumaru’s mind. But not really. Because he expected to kiss her again.

“There has to be another way,” she insisted.

“Perhaps.” Color slowly returned to his face—palest lavender. “We should continue in this way.”

“Why?”

Sesshoumaru wet his lips. “Blood.”

“Are we talking… a drop or two?” He could easily nick her finger. “That’s fine.”

Although his expression didn’t change, his stripes did, slowly fading to gray. He quietly repeated, “We should continue in this way.”

  2. uhoh.. fade to grey???? what does that even mean? has that color ever come up before?
    hahaha… anyway, now that she’s said it, he’s likely considering it.
    and he already likes this way, so why the heck not. XD

    • I think grey and black were varying levels of sadness and grief, so I’m interpreting this to mean it would take more than a couple drops and he’s pretty depressed at the thought of hurting or killing her. But I’ve been way off base before. *shrugs*
