No Foolin’

For a moment, I thought it was an April Fool’s Day prank, but I think we’re actually in business. Statistics indicate a sizable order of books from the printer, and Amazon has ditched the “temporarily out of stock” status. Finally! Your orders of Tsumiko and the Enslaved Fox WILL be filled!

In related news, I’m expecting a book box by the end of the week, so signed copies will be available again soon. Choices! We have them!

Also akin, I’ll be adjusting the deadlines for the Photo Challenge and Review Challenge. AND scheduling an Author Q&A for a weekend in May. Look forward to more!

Milestone, 300

Well, well! Being attentive to details, I notice little things and celebrate them whenever possible. This blog has hit another milestone, and I’m SO glad you’re keeping me company here. ::glomp::

Nearly done…

As promised, I will be posting Imperceptible‘s final chapter today. Bear in mind that “nearly done” in writer’s terms probably translates to HOURS, especially since I need to give this monster a final read-through, and uploading will involve a fair amount of formatting. But I’m pleased with progress… though it might go faster if I wasn’t crying over every little thing. ::wibble::

2 Days

…and I am cutting it close with this Imperceptible finale. Seriously, the last chapter is a story unto itself.  o_____o  In the meantime, please enjoy one of my favorite pictures of Hisoka-sensei.

Editing Mode

You may have noticed that I haven’t been updating my fanfics. (Though you’ve been kind not to mention it.) One of the main reasons I haven’t been keeping up is because I’ve been in full-on Editing Mode. For some reason, I work best if I focus on one or the other.

This time, the culprit is Imperceptible. Do you have any idea what it’s like to read something you wrote a decade ago?

NaNoWriMo 2017

NaNo-2017-Winner-Twitter-Header

Tada! I just validated my final word count for this year’s writing extravaganza. While I didn’t quite make it to the double-goal, I did manage 97,000~ words for the month, blocking in two books in my upcoming original series. I’m pleased with progress. ::twinkle::

Congrats to everyone who wrote words!

NaNoWriMo – Make Mine a Double!

Although I’ve been adding a running commentary in the comments of my NaNo sticky post, here’s a mini-update for those who have better things to do than stalk my every fleeting thought. Yesterday, I hit 50,000+ words with the third book in my upcoming original series. ::cue tickertape parade:: But #NaNoWriMo only comes once a year, so to take advantage of all the excitement and accountability offered to WriMos on the site, I’m Not Stopping. Today, I’ll plunge straight on into Book 4, with a new goal set at 100,000 words!

I love November.

This post will remain stuck to the top of my blog for the month of November. If you’re taking part in NaNoWriMo, let’s be friendly! Also, commenting here is the quickest way to get my attention if you’re gearing up for a group word sprint. Invite me. I love ’em! Let’s make the most of National Novel Writing Month! ::twinkle::

EDIT: As of 11/15, I’ve “won” NaNoWriMo, having hit 50,000+ words with the third book in my upcoming series. With half a month to go, I’m plunging straight into the fourth book. Why not double up? New goal: 100,000 words!

Fangirl Confession

Never have I ever. I know certain storylines backward and forward (including both canon details and fanon interpretations). For instance, I own the InuYasha anime and still have whole files of screencaps from my days as banner-maker for several IY contest communities. I’ve watched the series in both dubs and subs. And I kept up with the scanlations back when we were nearing the manga’s completion. But I have never actually Continue reading

What to do, what to do…

By my estimation, we’re roughly a month away from wrapping up Clumsy. As promised, weekly Savvy updates will begin shortly thereafter … however, those will take place over on FanFiction.net. Which will leave this blog rather lonely. So I’m picking through my story pile, trying to decide on something new that will post exclusively to ForthWrites.com. (Gotta lure you back somehow, right?)

I’ll do as I please. (I always do.) But I’m open to suggestions, since you’re my intended audience. What do you think, m’dears? Another Sess/Kag? Another ship? Another fandom entirely?
