Jacques was fairly certain he’d been making a point. Or possibly using a kiss to avoid a conversation. But when he drew back, Sonnet followed.
“No… wait. I wasn’t ready!” He pressed a pleading kiss to Jacques’ jaw. “Again?”
Oh, this was premature.
And potentially problematic.
When Jacques didn’t immediately respond, Sonnet tried a nudge, then a nuzzle. “I want to try.”
“And I want you to succeed.” Jacques put a finger to Sonnet’s lips, gently fending him off. “Only a little, though. And try to keep perspective.”
Sonnet whispered, “We can start… now?”
Jacques hummed. “We started ages ago.”
