LMM 402: Tonight

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who’s definitely a noble wolf.

“Nobody’s mentioned that little detail before.” Jacques searched Sonnet’s whisky-gold eyes and ventured, “We’ll also have to have a chat. Later.”

“Later,” agreed Sonnet.

“But not any sort of vague, putting-me-off later. Tonight.”

“There’s dinner to prepare. And our guest to consider.”

“He doesn’t mind,” Jacques drawled.

“I don’t mind,” Josheb quickly assured. “Count me in!”

Sonnet hesitated, but in the way of someone who doesn’t know how to be greedy. Jacques knew just how to coax him. Up on tiptoe, he delivered a pudding please that would’ve made Ever proud.

“Vanya…?”

“Bring him,” urged Jacques. “And his illustrious Papka.”

  2. I am really happy you put the spotlight once more upon Sonnet. I loved him right from the beginning (Hemmed in Silver) and ever since I am looking forward hearing/reading more about him/her. I am glad Sonnet is now living at Stately House not only with all the children but also trusted with Vanya as his foster parent. I hope very much there will be more … lots !!!
