Canarian had just launched into a lengthy explanation about the nature of his association with Catalan when Jacques ducked out.

Nonny found him. “Aren’t you supposed to be purring and prettifying?”

Oui, but…!”

“Sansa sent for Rilka.”

“You knew? Did Hisoka…?”

“Nah. The guv heard it from Doran, who heard it from Andor. Apparently. He mighta been having me on. Didn’t know Doran could speak.”

“Argent…?”

“Your bags are packed.”

“Should I…?”

“All your faves. I swear.” Nonny shooed him off. “I’ll collect you when Himself’s ready to do a runner.”

“Lord, you’re…!”

“Perfect for you? ’Bout time you noticed.”
