Vintage Appeal

“Do you prefer shorts?”

“My legs don’t get cold.”

“You’re beyond the Fauntleroy age, and I’m forbidding Lederhosen. But we’re not trying to hide your heritage.” Jacques addressed Randolla. “Newsboy knickers, poshed up a bit?”

The crane was soon pinning and basting. “Mind if I dip a wingtip in?”

“Huh?” asked Nonny.

“Goats do gallivant.” Randolla knotted a thread. “Your clan mightn’t be shocked that one of their bucks fathered a crosser. They may even be proud.”

“O-oi!” Nonny blushed to the roots of his horns.

Jacques soothed, “All a man’s secrets are known to his tailor and his valet.”
