Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who usually bathes with cats.

Warm the Human
“I’ll bring towels. Strip him.” Paltry whisked away, but his voice carried. “Churlish! I need the foot bath.”
“Your cousin, you say?”
“Same tree, different branch.” Sonnet was already at work on Jacques’ fastenings.
Paltry returned and helped steal the rest of his clothes, all the while explaining, “My sire was brother to this whelp’s great-grandsire, Glint Starmark.”
“Are you a wolf?”
“More or less.” With a sly smile, he added, “Mostly less.”
Canine toweling was vastly less gentle than could be had in a feline grooming session, but Jacques found the experience… invigorating.
Paltry huffed. “I’ll bring clothes. Churlish!”

They have barely met and he is helping Jacques out of his clothes! At least Sonnet brought him home to meet the family first.
