Chapter 224: Waning
Sesshoumaru’s gaze darted to the waning crescent, so like the moon that marked his brow. Father would have called it a good omen. Mother always made her oaths under such a sky. Perhaps it was time for their son to make his first.
“Inuyasha.” Sesshoumaru tucked up his legs, sitting in midair. “Trade with me.”
Silver ears cocked. “Not sure I have anything you’d want.”
“Pledge for pledge. A pact between brothers.”
Color rose in Inuyasha’s cheeks. “I wouldn’t mind.”
“Son of my father,” Sesshoumaru said formally. “Make us the pearl within your eye, and we shall multiply your strength.”

uwu brother bonding time. But also, “pearl within your eye”? What could it be, what’s the connection, hmmmmmmm…. We already know that there was another riddle about InuYasha’s pearl eye, and that it was made by his father…. Perhaps as a nod to this tradition? But then what was the other riddle for? And the pearl led to InuPapa’s grave….”let us be your resting place/refuge”? Or something simpler, “treasure and guard us within yourself”? Hmmmm, so interesting

Yes, I’m referencing Inuyasha’s pearl eye, so “treasured and guarded” is a good interpretation.
This is also a nod to to Yashahime, since the creators also chose to play with this detail.
