“Isla lives here?”

“She has a room.” Argent smirked. “And an adjoining library.”

“I assumed they were a little more… alone together,” Jacques admitted.

“Twineshaft has always been careful with females.” Argent touched a stone before steering Jacques through an archway. “There are three floors of staff between them. I would wager Isla has never seen his private quarters.”

“But you have.”

Argent smirked. “And you shall. Are you clear on the timeline?”

“Quite.”

“I appreciate your sacrifice.”

Jacques was missing Christmas at Stately House. “Pish-tosh. I’m your gift to Hisoka.”

“Make sure he sleeps.”

“Long and deep.”

“Good man.”
