Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one with an eye for color.

Clan Colors

A bamboo-lined path appeared, marked by stone lanterns. Jacques spied the telltale shine of crystals. “Barriers?”

“Old ones. This has always been his home.”

“Both Harmonious and Hisoka are from Keishi?”

“Twineshaft is indigenous. Starmark is a fairly recent transplant.”

Argent ushered him into a sprawling building that buzzed with activity. Office workers were everywhere, most in Dimityblest colors. But the predominant color scheme confused Jacques.

“Greens and creams?”

“Twineshaft’s clan colors.”

“Then why is he always draped in gray?”

“I have often wondered that myself.” Argent frowned. “For feline clans, the color of ash is the color of mourning.”
