Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who’s in truest form.

It was a wonderful thing to be correct, and a great trial to have it go unremarked. Jacques sighed.
“Hmm?” Deece, the amazing gravity-defying Amaranthine, was seated in midair above the slowly rolling sea, with Jacques perched on his lap, bare feet dangling. With each wave, cool water tickled his soles.
“I was right.”
“About?”
Jacques pointed down. “Him.”
