Don’t scold me for starting something new when I have SO MANY (so, so many) unfinished fanfics. Because this is a special case. I needed an exclusive story for this blog. We can call it incentive for readers to drop by. Or we could call it a treat for those of you who are already keeping me company here. But really… this is me goofing off. (Same as always.)

Story Summary: In the aftermath of the Final Battle, the victors lick their wounds and look ahead. However, a misspent wish on the Shikon-no-Tama changes minds, hearts, fates… and colors. SessKag. Canon Divergence.

Mood Stripes

Author’s Note: I have original stories underway, but my fondness for this fandom cannot be denied. This is another tale in snippets—chapters will be 100 words, no more, no less.

It’s Just a Story: I write fandom tales for fun, and I fully intend to have some with this story. Let me assure you, I’ve seen the anime. I’ve read the manga. I know the difference between canon and fanon. When I say I’m diverging, I know when and where and how. Just go with it. It’ll be okay.

Chapter 1: Fallen

Glazed eyes. Matted fur. Torn silk.

“S-sesshoumaru-sama?” Kagome crawled closer to the mangled figure. Something tickled at her knees, and she blanched. Thick, dark blood pooled outward. “Inuyasha! Inuyasha, I need help!”

Hurry… he’s bleeding to death.

Pushing aside fear, she looked for a way to staunch the flow of blood.

Inuyasha was there a moment later. “Sh-shit. Did I kill the bastard?”

“Nooo,” she moaned, wanting to deny it even though she wasn’t sure. “No, this can’t be right.”

“You idiot,” Inuyasha whispered, hovering over his half-brother. “Oi, Sesshoumaru! Why the hell didn’t you get out of the way?”

  10. not to be greedy… you’ve given us a lot lately with the final chapter of Imperceptible, finishing Clumsy, and most importantly your book, but what can we expect for updates for this? daily throughout the week, certain days of the week? I’m so excited for another Sess/Kag from you!
