Amaranthine Teasers

Since the print editions of Tsumiko and the Enslaved Fox are turning up in virtual bookstores (like Amazon) with the availability to pre-order, I thought you might like to know a little more about what you’re getting into. So … here is the first of many Amaranthine Teasers as we count down to release day (2/22).

Pretteh. In my humble opinion, the print editions are quite fetching, thanks to many details in the design. We went for a classic vibe…

Book-spotting!

I received a PM this morning on ff.net, letting me know that one of my fandom readers (you sweet thing, you!) had pre-ordered Tsumiko and the Enslaved Fox. ::gasp:: A quick check shows that the print edition of the book is indeed available for pre-order on Amazon. (Digital isn’t showing up yet, but it should soon.) Pinch me!

FAQ: Amaranthine Saga

Who’s Curious? As people are finding out about the upcoming original series, there have been questions. I can (and do) answer them, but those answers are scattered across assorted PMs, review replies, and several comment threads here on my blog. So we’ll do a few FAQ posts leading up to release day (February 22). I’ll also collect some of these questions and answers in the comments over on this site’s Amaranthine Saga tab.

Amaranthine Saga

So!

I haven’t been this nervous since the first time I clicked “Publish” on fanfiction.net. Seriously. I know this story is a good’un. I’m positively giddy to get it into your hands. It’s a very ME kind of adventure in all the best ways. But at the same time, I’m having all those silly qualms that come with starting something new.

(In the immortal words of Kagomaru) Erm…

So!

Let’s you and me just pretend I’m all Brave and Brazen (and completely professional) so we can get down to business. Because I’ve created a world for you. It’s shiny and new, and it’s specially suited to my fandom friends. If you like my fics, you’ll probably enjoy this new series. In fact, if you’re passingly familiar with (or obsessively voracious about) my fanfiction … you are going to have So Much Fun guessing and second-guessing where forthy is headed next.

NaNoWriMo 2017

Tada! I just validated my final word count for this year’s writing extravaganza. While I didn’t quite make it to the double-goal, I did manage 97,000~ words for the month, blocking in two books in my upcoming original series. I’m pleased with progress. ::twinkle::

Congrats to everyone who wrote words!

NaNoWriMo – Make Mine a Double!

Although I’ve been adding a running commentary in the comments of my NaNo sticky post, here’s a mini-update for those who have better things to do than stalk my every fleeting thought. Yesterday, I hit 50,000+ words with the third book in my upcoming original series. ::cue tickertape parade:: But #NaNoWriMo only comes once a year, so to take advantage of all the excitement and accountability offered to WriMos on the site, I’m Not Stopping. Today, I’ll plunge straight on into Book 4, with a new goal set at 100,000 words!

I love November.

EDIT: As of 11/15, I’ve “won” NaNoWriMo, having hit 50,000+ words with the third book in my upcoming series. With half a month to go, I’m plunging straight into the fourth book. Why not double up? New goal: 100,000 words!
