Jacques tensed, and Canarian tutted, kneading firmly until he was once more limp and pliant.
Meanwhile, Cat sloshed to Nonny’s side and wrapped an arm around his shoulders. “Yes, we’re really moving here. And being near friends and family…? Very attractive. But why would you think Jacques alone swayed our choices?” Nuzzling Nonny’s ear, he asked, “Is my favorite satyr jealous? Come, be teacher’s pet!”
“Teacher…? You?”
“Beginning after the Dichotomy Day festivities,” Cat confirmed. “I’ll be dedicating myself to Stately House’s bright future.”
“You’re gonna teach crossers?” Nonny looked to Canarian for confirmation, then gruffly accused, “You’re such dads.”
