LMM 590: Riders

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the ones with a train.

“Our needs are simple,” Catalan assured. “Tracks for the train. And a theater, of course.”

“Of course,” Jacques agreed. “Simplicity itself.” Then Canarian began kneading his left thigh, and Jacques groaned into the folded towel serving as his pillow.

Deece ventured, “Argent agreed to a railroad?”

“Why not?” asked Cat. “The children will love it.”

“It might be fun,” agreed Gilen. “We can ride …?”

“In grand style!” Cat promised. “Tomorrow, we’ll get up a woodland expedition. Scout possible routes.”

“We can help,” Gilen swiftly volunteered. “Right Nonny?”

Nonny, who’d been unusually quiet, asked, “You’re really moving here? For Jacques?”

  1. There’s only been a tiny bit of it here and there, but I really enjoy seeing Deece, especially around the other cats. He’s quiet, but it’s a nice, gentle quietness, and the contrast is fun.

I’ve been trying to imagine what Deece said to Cat in Suuzu’s story when he called for help lol.

  3. I’m not sure if Nonny is incredulous or a tiny bit jealous. Such a wonderful idea though. A train at Stately House.
