Truth Be Told
“Is it nice, listening to stars?”
“No. Yes. No.” Inti sighed. “They have beautiful voices. But they tell the truth, and Inti doesn’t always want to hear it.”
Jacques kept his tone light. “Did you learn a terrible truth about yourself?”
“Inti did.”
“And you’re hiding it from Argent?”
His short laugh ended in a sigh. “Jacques is too good at this game. Can you keep a secret?”
“From Argent? Non.”
“Not from. For. Keep a secret for Inti?”
Bumping noses with the monkey crosser, Jacques reissued his invitation. “Tell Uncle Jackie all about it.”
“Inti is afraid of foxes.”

Aww..poor Inti. I understand though that Argent can be very intimidating. But his actions prove otherwise and I’m glad he is on the right side of these goings on. I think Jacques helps make him approachable.
