LMM 582: Au Revoir

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the trusted one.

Au Revoir

Jacques only had to stave off his homesickness for a little longer.

There was pie from Gert’s, and a vintage travel case arrived from Find Me, all mahogany and leather straps, brimming with tailored finery.

Snowflakes danced in the wind when he bid au revoir to Harrison, who hugged him hard and begged him not to be a stranger.

Jacques navigated the banalities of travel, and once aboard their flight, Argent’s hand found his.

“Yes, my lord?”

“I am tired.”

Doing the math, he sighed. “How much longer…?”

“You will do.” And nestling against Jacques’ side, the fox fell asleep.
