Jacques let go long enough to pull Inti close, then linked their fingers around the crystal. The monkey-crosser might be more mature than he let on, but nobody was too old to seek comfort.
“You sure you want to know the things I don’t say?”
Inti snickered against his shoulder.
Jacques kneaded one slim shoulder, worried over the tension he found there. “Tell Uncle Jackie all about it.”
“Inti has a reaver class. Inti is a reach.”
“I… haven’t much context. Congratulations…?”
The crosser offered a surprisingly succinct explanation before relapsing into childishness and whimsy. “Inti thinks trouble is near.”
