“You two have fun.” Sinder hesitated on the threshold and raised a warning finger. “Responsibly.”
Jacques innocently asked, “Moi?”
The dragon worriedly reminded, “Argent will put a knot in my tail, then shave my mane if anything happens to you.”
“That would be a crime against nature. However, I doubt Harrison has anything untoward in mind.”
“And you…?”
“This is hardly the time to indulge my little whims.”
Sinder frowned. “Will that stop you?”
“Does anything?”
“Why are you speaking in loopholes?”
“Because I like you, and that always leads to bedevilment.” Jacques relented, promising, “Best behavior. On my honor.”
