“All right, fine. I get the picture.” Sinder held out a hand. “Give me your phone.”
Jacques caught Sinder’s arm. “You didn’t have to do that.”
The dragon winced. “Sorry. Slipped out. Hey, Harrison. I’m working a little technological magic. This’ll give you a direct line to Jacques. You can be text buddies or whatever.”
The man sank to a seat. “So… I pass?”
“Let’s call it the first hurdle.” Jacques sat beside him. “Pray tell, is there a dress code for bingo?”
A smile bloomed. “Whatever’s comfortable. It’s very come-as-you-are.”
Sinder warned, “Tonight’s fashion statement had better involve sigilcraft.”
