“Lord. I didn’t even know you noticed men. Do you have a type?”

Now who’s jumping to conclusions?” Sinder rolled his eyes. “It’s my job to notice people. And to keep you out of trouble.”

“So do you find me attractive?” Jacques was mostly teasing.

“Seriously? You know I don’t.” Sinder’s eyes narrowed. “Are you deflecting? I don’t really care what you get up to. Argent’s the one who’ll–”

“Lord. I’m not trying to bed him. I’m trying to employ him.”

Harrison had returned, a fresh demitasse in hand.

Jacques sighed. “Not that you aren’t bedable.”

Harrison breathed, “Gosh.”
