Unattended

“My lord, this is becoming ridiculous.”

“In what sense?”

Argent could be so peevish about conventional means of travel. While observing the letter of international law, he was giving the particulars his own personal twist.

“I would like to sleep. For that, I need a drink, but every one of these highly capable flight attendants seems to be ignorant of our presence.”

“I refuse to be fawned over.” Argent coolly suggested, “I could induce sleep.”

“I need a drink.” Drumming fingers on his seat tray, Jacques amended, “Drinks. Preferably a cask of star wine.”

“Drowning sorrows?”

Jacques softly assured, “Non.”
