Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the master of illusions.

Missed a Spot
Three of the Argents went very still, their expressions carefully—dangerously—neutral. But the fourth giggled and flung his arms around Jacques’ neck. Which was utterly absurd for the fraction of a second before several illusions met a swift end. There was a queer pop and then there was so much ginger fur.
“Jacques is always Jacques, and Inti likes him that way.” The crosser nuzzled close and whispered, “Didn’t Jacques wash behind his ears?”
“Ah. Did I miss a spot?”
Eyes the color of conjac warmed with the smile that creased their corners. “Some things do not wash off.”

It makes sense right? Jacques is a lover of a fine things and liquor, even if it doesn’t TASTE good, makes for some very fine colors.
