LMM 527: Too Soon

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one with an en suite.

Too Soon

The claw-footed tub in Jacques’ suite fit two. Barely. And only because Ginkgo cut a trim figure. Sonnet would have spilled over, all on his own.

“Dad wants you to go after Kip.”

“Fetching as he was in freckles, it’s a little too soon for another affair.”

Ginkgo’s hands slowed against Jacques’ scalp. “You will, though. Have more…?”

Jacques hunched his shoulders. “That’s what you’d expect from someone like me.”

Gentle scratching resumed. “Did Sonnet… say anything?”

“I suppose. I don’t know. I’m not conversant in wolvish.”

Ginkgo was quiet for too long. Finally, he asked, “Sonnet… sang for you?”

  2. I would like to hug Jacques, even though I know what happens in PIMIKO I still want to hug him bc he deserves hugs. (he’s still young…not like Akira young, but still he’s only recently found himself amongst a group who accepts him and wants the best for him, so he’s young)
