Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who’s chilled through.

Sleeping Furs
Cave chic had been the right choice, and Ginkgo had seen to other details. Sonnet spent several minutes grumbling and huffing his way through the blankets heaped on the sleeping platform. Jacques asked, “Problem?”
“Wolf. Cat. Bear. Dog.” Sonnet’s smile was tremulous. “Even fox. These are from… everyone.”
“Sounds crowded. Will they distract you from me?”
That earned him a chiding look. “Get in. You need warming.”
Jacques unlaced and unbuttoned.
“Uhh… oh.”
“Steady on,” Jacques murmured, shedding moonbeams while Sonnet doused the lights.
Then the world narrowed to ticklish furs and a breathless silence as two hearts beat faster.
